Special BRM prize for 'Driver of the Weekend'
The winner of this year's Silverstone Classic ‘Driver of the Weekend’ and the limited edition and very beautiful BRM Chronograph number 0 is Bill Coombs, in his first year driving in Grand Prix Masters with very few races in such a powerful car. Bill suffered gearbox problems in Saturday's race which dropped him to third place at the flag. On Sunday he fought through from fourth place to take the lead and then fended off all the challenges of Saturday's winner Steve Hartley – the duelling duo running side-by-side through Stowe, Priory and Brooklands corners – to score a fantastic victory in his Tyrrell 009.
