Silverstone Race Circuit is based on a WW2 airfield, so it’s only fitting that the Silverstone Classic features some of the best air displays possible over the weekend.
Last year’s event featured a stunning aerobatic display from The Blades, all former Red Arrows pilots; probably the most famous of all Spitfires, MH434, performing a beautiful display alongside the P-51D Mustang “Ferocious Frankie”; spectacular displays from The Parachute Regiment Freefall Team – The Red Devils; and some fabulous hot air balloon displays at dawn and dusk.
The aerial displays for the 2012 Silverstone Classic are yet to be finalised but expect more of the same (all subject to the lovely British weather of course!).
