Over the weekend of the Silverstone Classic, you and your family could get involved, learn more about dementia and support life-changing dementia research. Highlights included:
The Alzheimer's Research UK 5K Fun Run
The 5K charity Fun Run took place on Friday evening around the track. Details on what was involved are available here.
If you fancied doing some fundraising for your Run in advance of the event, you could have download the Alzheimer's Research UK sponsorship form here.
Beat the expert in the Alzheimer's Research UK driving simulator
You could put yourself in the driver’s seat in one of the racing simulators and see if you can beat the time set by Tiff Needell!
You could share a memory of your first car and add it to the Alzheimer's Research UK memory wall over the weekend. Also, there's still time to share your #MyFirstCar experience on social media to help spread the word about dementia research. We can’t wait to hear all your wonderful stories!
Guess how many oranges are in the car
Yes, you read that right! We celebrated Alzheimer’s Research UK’s #ShareTheOrange campaign by filling a car with orange balls. There were great prizes up for grabs, including a family ticket to next year’s festival, a Dyson vacuum and so much more!
Whatever you planned on doing at the Classic this year, you were guaranteed to have a great time, all the while driving groundbreaking dementia research.
