FAQs
What are Silverstone doing to ensure 2021 events can go ahead safely?
With the planned roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine and a more widespread testing programme available we remain positive about welcoming fans back to the circuit. The Silverstone team are working closely with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, local authorities and Public Health to ensure all regulations and guidelines are followed and relevant procedures can be put in place to keep competitors, our team and fans safe when we re-open our gates.
WHAT SPECIAL MEASURES WILL YOU HAVE IN PLACE IN LIGHT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC?
Our priority at all times is the safety and wellbeing of those attending our events as well as our own team; rest assured we will be taking all precautions necessary to keep you safe while attending The Classic, and adhering to the guidance provided by the Government that prevails at the time. We’ll communicate full details of these measures as we get closer to the event.
What are your opening hours?
The gates open at 07:30 each morning. They close at 23:00 on Friday and Saturday, and at 18:30 on Sunday.
Qualifying on Friday is likely to run from around 09:00 until 19:00, with racing from 09:00 until 21:00 on Saturday, and from 09:00 until 18:00 on Sunday.

What's included in the ticket price?
We want you to get the very best value from the tickets you buy for The Classic, which is why we include so much in the ticket price! Your tickets not only include entry to the event, but also: Full access to the racing paddocks giving the chance for you to get close to the cars and talk to the drivers and race preparers; access to the open grandstands for great viewing of the track action; big screens around the Circuit to ensure you don't miss a thing; the live music concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings; and all funfair rides.
Can I access the Paddock?
Can I bring my own food and drink to the event?
We have a wide range of vendors around the circuit including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. We also have traditional hot snacks such as burgers, fish & chips, jacket potatoes, pies, paninis and baguettes – we’re sure you’ll find something for everyone’s taste.
There are also a number of licensed bars serving beer and other refreshments.
You are allowed to bring reasonable amounts of alcohol for personal consumption into the venue.
Please note
- Excessive amounts will be refused at the gate.
- No glass bottles or containers are allowed to be bought into the circuit at any time. You will be asked to leave them at the gates.
Can I bring my baby to the Silverstone Classic?
Yes you are able to bring your baby to the event. The noise of the race cars can be quite loud so we would recommend ear defenders. Children 10 and under have free entry to the event but do require a ticket.
There are baby changing facilities throughout the site - the locations for which can be found on the event map, published closer to the event.
Site transport: Throughout the event, accessible buses (enabling wheelchair and pram access) will operate between the Village Green at the north end of the circuit infield and the International Paddock at the south end of the circuit infield, as well as on the perimeter road.
Site layout and conditions: The site is spread over 850 acres, some of which are fields. There are some hard-standing and tarmac areas together with stone paths and trackway, but the site can be difficult to negotiate. The weather can have a massive impact on how easy it is for people to move around the site, please take this into consideration when deciding on what equipment to bring with you.

I had tickets to the 2020 event and requested a refund but I don’t think I’ve received it, can you help?
Refunds were all processed within 21 days of receiving the refund request and the deadline for requesting a refund was 5pm on Friday 31 July 2020. If you are having trouble locating your refund, please check your card/ bank account statement around the date you were originally charged/ bought your tickets (banks have now started to attach refunds to the original purchase date, which means the money goes in at the time its refunded but to find it you have to look at the original purchase date).
If, having made the above checks, you’re still struggling to locate the refund, please get in touch.
My car club was due to be celebrating an anniversary in 2020. Will we be able to celebrate in 2021 instead?
