Silverstone Auctions were thrilled to returning to the Silverstone Classic for their ninth consecutive year as the official auction partner for the event. Over the course of the weekend, two auctions featured some of the world’s most fabulous classic and modern sports cars. They also had a range of collectible automobilia on sale presenting an ideal opportunity for aficionados to pick up some truly special pieces.

Alzheimer's Research UK is privileged to be the official charity partner for the Silverstone Classic.

They are driven by their mission to bring about the first life-changing dementia treatment by 2025. And with the support of the Silverstone Classic, they will be able to make the life-changing breakthroughs we need.

At this year’s event, they raised much-needed funds for dementia research. They will be used for projects funded by the Race Against Dementia Fellowships, a scheme founded by Sir Jackie Stewart. They also raised vital awareness of dementia by celebrating their #ShareTheOrange campaign with lots of engaging activities. And they asked visitors to share their memories of their first car – the good, the bad and the ugly!

Partnering with the Silverstone Classic gives us a fantastic opportunity to work with an industry celebrated for innovation and finding solutions. Tesla Owners UK were proud to support Silverstone Classic again in 2019 by supplying over 50 volunteer drivers to transport VIP guests around the weekend in their fleet of fully electric Tesla vehicles. Their drivers are owners of the vehicles so were perfect to answer any questions and crush any misconceptions that some have with electric cars. 

This year they were raising funds for The Christian Blandford Fund which is a fund dedicated to improving the life of children and families as they go through life-altering surgery or palliative care, to date they have donated over 160 toy Tesla cars to hospices and hospitals across the UK.
