Accessibility for all

Accessibility for All

Viewing Areas

Wheelchair accessible viewing is available throughout the site. The locations of these areas have been carefully considered to give some of the best views of the circuit. These areas will be clearly indicated on the site plan nearer the event.

These terraces are solely for the use of disabled persons and in particular wheelchair users, with one personal assistant. In some of these areas there is a seat provided for the accompanying person. On the terrace areas personal assistants are asked to please bring their own folding chair. There will be stewards present to assist wheelchair users to access and egress in the case of an emergency exit.

Disabled Access

Event Mobility Charitable Trust will be providing electric scooters and manual wheelchairs for the use of disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors to the Silverstone Classic.

An electric scooter or manual wheelchair can be booked online at www.eventmobility.org.uk. Simply print out an advance booking form from their website or contact the office on 01386 725391 to request a form to be posted to you.  Please be aware that advance bookings cannot be made by phone.

Reserved electric scooters or wheelchairs can be collected next to Ticket Collections.  To access Ticket Collections, follow the signs for public parking via Entrance 10 and head for Disabled Parking.  If there are any changes to these directions we will inform you prior to the event.

The charity operates entirely from the generosity of donations and any further contribution would be greatly appreciated.

Personal Assistant 2-4-1 Ticket Scheme

As part of our commitment to make the Silverstone Classic accessible to all, we operate a Personal Assistant 2-4-1 ticket scheme across both event tickets and camping.

All disabled visitors attending the Silverstone Classic on a paid for adult ticket are entitled to bring one assistant free of charge (this applies to general admission tickets and camping only) . Please note if the disabled person is a child you will need to buy an adult ticket and claim a free child ticket as the assistant.

You can apply for a Personal Assistant 2-4-1 ticket here.

Throughout the event, buses permitting wheelchair access will operate between the JET Village Green at the north end of the circuit infield to the International Paddock at the south end of the circuit infield, as well as on the perimeter road.

Car Parking

We have a large number of disabled car parking spaces located next to Ticket Collections. Follow signs for public parking via Entrance 10 and head for Disabled Parking.  If there are any changes to these directions we will inform you prior to the event.

Toilet Facilities

All our permanent disabled toilets are fitted with RADAR locks to prevent access to any non disabled persons. If you don't have one, you can contact us during the event on: 01483 524424 and we can organise access for you.

Concert Viewing Area

A dedicated raised platform for wheelchair access will be available for viewing of the Friday and Saturday evening concerts. Early arrival to this platform is recommended.

Silverstone Wing Hospitality

Wheelchair and disabled access to the 2nd floor hospitality areas in the Silverstone Wing International Paddock building can be made through Entrance 3.

Assistance Dogs

NO PETS are permitted on site at the Silverstone Classic although fully trained and registered “assistance” dogs are welcome. Please contact the circuit on 08704 588 251 so that arrangements can be made prior to your arrival. However it is not recommended that animals be subjected to loud noises from some of our Motorsport activities. ‘Assistance’ dogs are not allowed in the paddock, garages or the pit lane. Please do not leave dogs locked in cars in car parking areas.

Site Layout and Ground Conditions

The site is spread over 850 acres, some of which are fields. There are some hard-standing and tarmac areas together with stone paths and trackway, but the site can be difficult to negotiate. The weather can have a massive impact on how easy it is for people to move around the site, please take this into consideration when deciding on what equipment to bring with you.
