Accessibility for All

The Classic is committed to providing a good level of accessibility to all its visitors. Take a look at the various sections below for more information about some of the special provisions we have in place at the event.

Personal Assistant 2-4-1 Ticket Scheme

As part of our commitment to make the Silverstone Classic accessible to all, we operate a Personal Assistant 2-4-1 ticket scheme across both general admission tickets and camping.

All disabled visitors attending the Classic on a paid for adult ticket are entitled to bring one assistant free of charge (this applies to general admission tickets and camping only) . Please note, if the disabled person is a child you need to buy an adult ticket and claim a free child ticket. You can apply for an assistant's ticket under the Personal Assistant 2-4-1 ticket scheme here.

Please note: tickets for the Silverstone Classic 2020 will go on sale in November.

Car Parking

We have a large number of disabled car parking spaces located next to Ticket Collections. Follow signs for public parking via Entrance 10 and head for Disabled Parking. If there are any changes to these directions we will inform you prior to the event.

Disabled Access

Electric scooters and manual wheelchairs are available for hire to our disabled visitors via Event Mobility. For more information and to book, please visit their website using this link. See below for information on the best viewing areas.

Site Transportation

Throughout the event, buses permitting wheelchair access operate between the Village Green at the north end of the circuit infield to the International Paddock at the south end of the circuit infield, as well as on the perimeter road. There are different types of buses operating at the event - please note that the Classic style buses do not offer access for wheelchair users.

Electric scooters and manual wheelchairs are available for hire to our disabled visitors via Event Mobility. For more information and to book, please visit their website using this link.

Viewing Areas

Wheelchair accessible viewing is available throughout the site. The locations of these areas are carefully considered to give some of the best views of the circuit. These areas are clearly indicated on the site plan nearer the event.

These terraces are solely for the use of disabled persons and in particular wheelchair users, with one personal assistant. In some of these areas there is a seat provided for the accompanying person. On the terrace areas personal assistants are asked to please bring their own folding chair. There are stewards present to assist wheelchair users to access and egress in the case of an emergency exit.

A dedicated raised platform for wheelchair access will be available for viewing at the Friday and Saturday evening concerts. Early arrival to this platform is recommended.

Toilet Facilities

All our permanent disabled toilets are fitted with RADAR locks to prevent access to any non disabled persons. If you don't have one, you can contact us during the event on: +44 (0) 1483 524 424 and we can organise access for you.

Hospitality Access

If a hospitality package has been purchased, wheelchair and disabled access is available for both Parc Ferme hospitality in the Silverstone Wing and Clubhouse hospitality in the Brooklands building. Parc Ferme hospitality is located on the 2nd floor of the Silverstone Wing and access to the lift can be made through Entrance 3. Clubhouse hospitality is located on the 1st floor of the Brooklands building and access to the lift will be made available to you with the help of the stewards.

Assistance Dogs

NO pets/animals are permitted on site at the Silverstone Classic although fully trained and registered “assistance” dogs are welcome. Please contact the circuit on +44 (0) 8704 588 251 so that arrangements can be made prior to your arrival. However it is not recommended that animals be subjected to loud noises from some of our motorsport activities. ‘Assistance’ dogs are not allowed in the paddock, garages or the pit lane. Please do not leave dogs locked in cars in car parking areas.

Site Layout and Ground Conditions

The site is spread over 850 acres, some of which are fields. There are some hard-standing and tarmac areas together with stone paths and trackway, but the site can be difficult to negotiate. The weather can have a massive impact on how easy it is for people to move around the site, please take this into consideration when deciding on what equipment to bring with you.
